The old knowing · written down at last

Your house is not dirty, mija.
You were only taught to clean it the wrong way.

The sprays manage your problems forever so you keep buying them. My mother's ways — vinegar, baking soda, patience, and the right order — solve them, for pennies. I wrote every one of them down. All of it, in one book.

The knowing passed mother to daughter — now to you.
Why nothing you buy ever works

There is no money in the thing that works.

A jug of vinegar that solves your shower forever earns the store two dollars, once. A spray that almost works earns them two hundred, forever. That is the whole secret of the cleaning aisle — and it is why your grandmother's methods were quietly forgotten. Not because they stopped working. Because they worked too well to be sold.

The film on your shower glass

Is not dirt — it's mineral.

Soap cannot lift it. A mild acid dissolves it in ten minutes, no scrubbing. Chapter 11 shows you exactly how.

The smell in your bathroom

Lives where you never look.

Under the toilet seat bolts. In the floor crack at the base. Five small mistakes — all undone in one afternoon. Chapter 10.

The sour towels from the wash

Are the machine, not the towels.

Black mold in the door seal, clogged drain holes nobody knows exist. Fifteen minutes, a pipe cleaner, gone. Chapter 7.

Bertha Ramírez at her kitchen table
A word from Bertha

Hi, I'm Bertha.

My mother cleaned houses in Guadalajara for thirty years. She never owned a "daily shower spray" in her life, and her glass never clouded and her corners never blackened. What she had was the knowing — which thing beats which enemy, in what order, with how much patience — passed from her mother to her, and from her to me.

"A house is not made clean by what you spray over it, but by what you are willing to lift up and look underneath."

That chain of knowing nearly broke in one generation. This book is me writing it all down before it does — every method from my videos, and a great deal more that never fits in them, in the right order, for keeps.

What's inside

Thirteen chapters. The whole house.

Every room, every machine, every "impossible" stain — the method, the why, and the honest limits of each.

Ch 1–2

The Knowing & the Mother Recipes

The four enemies (grease, mineral, mold, odor), which weapon beats each, and the exact mixes — measured, tested, safe.

Ch 3–6

The Kitchen

Oven (and the self-clean button that kills ovens), stovetop, cabinets & stainless steel, the dishwasher's hidden filter, the sink, the refrigerator coils.

Ch 7–9

The Laundry & the Bedroom

Washer mold and the clogged drain holes, the dryer vent fire nobody warned you about, yellow pillows brought back white, the mattress.

Ch 10–11

The Bathroom

The five toilet mistakes, the drains, the shower's mineral film and grout mold — dissolved and killed, not scrubbed at.

Ch 12

Floors, Walls, Windows & the Air

Every floor by its material, dusting that lifts instead of spreads, and why the whole house is dusty (the filter).

Ch 13

The Rhythm of the House

The whole system as a calendar — daily ten minutes, the weekly round, the monthly tendings, the twice-a-year deep work. Checklists included.

7-DAY
KEEP THE
BOOK

Read it for seven days. If it doesn't earn its place, your money back.

Try the shower method. Pull the dishwasher filter. Clear the dryer vent. If the old ways don't work in your house the way they work in mine, ask for a refund within 7 days and keep the book anyway. I will not sell you a thing that does not work — that is the whole point of me.

Before you ask

Questions, answered honestly

Is this just your videos, written down?

The videos are free chapters, and they always will be. The book is the whole system in one place — the methods from the videos plus everything that never fits in them, in the right order, with the measures, the safety rules, and the calendar that ties it together. You could watch for a year and piece it together, or read it in an evening.

Do I need special products?

No — that is the point. Nearly everything is white vinegar, baking soda, dish soap, hydrogen peroxide, and patience. The few store items worth buying (a citric-acid tablet, an enzyme treatment) are named plainly, with cheap generic options. I sell no products and take no commissions.

Is it safe? I've heard you shouldn't mix cleaners.

You should not, and the book says so loudly. There is a safety page up front — what must never be mixed (bleach with anything, above all), what needs open windows and gloves, what never touches enamel. The old ways are gentle ways; that is why they last.

What format is it?

A PDF you download the moment you buy — read it on your phone, tablet, computer, or print it and keep it in the kitchen drawer the way my mother would have.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Seven days, full refund, keep the book. No forms, no arguing.
